History
Dr. A. H Kleinfeld opened Ambassador Veterinary Hospital as a full-service hospital in 1938, caring for companion animals. His goal was to provide high standard of veterinary care and personalized service. In 1997, Dr. Krish Manoharan took over the veteran practice, and has been an integral member of the Union City community and its animal care for the last 20 years.

Caroline Cruz
Veterinary Assistant
Originally from Honduras, Caroline moved to NJ in 2007. She is a senior at Montclair State University studying Biology. Her career goals include applying to veterinary school and training to become a small animal/exotics veterinarian. She enjoys working at Ambassador because she gets to experience 1st hand what being a vet entails. The human-animal-bond is extremely important to Caroline, as well as the gratification clients show when their pets are nursed back to health.
Dr. Sindu Manoharan, VMD
Staff Veterinarian
Dr. Sindu Manoharan, daughter of Dr. Krish Manoharan, graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2018. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Animal Sciences from the University of Maryland College Park in 2014. She is pursuing a rotating small animal medicine and surgery internship at The Animal Medical Center of New York. Her career interests include soft tissue surgery and internal medicine. In her free time, Sindu enjoys playing board games and having Harry Potter marathons, as well as cuddling with her favorite pup, Rowdy.
In 2017, we expanded and remodeled the entire hospital facilities to further accommodate our growing practice. We offer a relaxing and welcoming setting, where our priority is to provide superior medical and surgical care for your pets in an efficient manner. Our team of veterinary professionals and staff are a group of highly qualified individuals who strive to keep you informed of the latest changes in preventative health and treatment for your pets. Our hospital offers and encourages Preventative Medicine Services. As pets age, they face increased problems with diseases like cancer, diabetes, and unexplained weight loss. Our goal is to identify, diagnose, and treat sooner to maintain healthy animals and better outcomes!

Dr. Krish Manoharan, DVM
Chief Veterinarian
Dr. Krishnaswamy Manoharan, originally from Chennai, India, made Union City, NJ his home in 1995. He is an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and New Jersey Veterinary Medical Association (NJVMA). Dr. Manoharan began his career as an attending veterinarian at the Popcorn Park Zoo companion animal clinic in Forked River, NJ. Thereafter, he practiced veterinary medicine at Bree’s Animal Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.
In 1997, Dr. Manoharan became the chief veterinarian at Ambassador Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Mano has practiced in Union City, NJ for the last 22 years. His experience during this time include working in shelter medicine, exotics, and as a general practitioner in small animal medicine and surgery. He is an engaged member in local community agencies such as the American Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) and the Humane Society of Hudson County.
Currently, Dr. Mano’s primary interests at Ambassador Veterinary Hospital include soft tissue surgery and dentistry. Dr. Mano forms strong bonds with his patients and their owners. He truly treats every pet like it is his own.
In his personal time, Dr. Mano is a diehard New York Giants and New York Yankees fan and enjoys watching all types of sports. He is also a fan of watching movies at the cinema.

Anu Manoharan
Hospital Administrator
Anu is responsible for managerial functions that encompass most areas of the hospital. She has served in this position for almost 15 years. Anu works closely with the staff veterinarians and veterinary technicians to achieve the hospital's mission and ensure exceptional customer service. She also handles all billing and client related financial matters. Anu enjoys spending time with Dr. Mano and her two children. She enjoys listening to music, experimenting with new cooking recipes, and gardening.
Cesar Negorini
Veterinary Assistant
Cesar Negorini has worked as a Veterinary assistant since 2016 at Ambassador Veterinary Hospital. His older sisters Jennily and Kassendra previously worked as assistants before going off to college. Working as a part time employee, Cesar is currently attending school to become a certified veterinary technician. Cesar enjoys all aspects of veterinary care including educating clients on proper dietary nutrition for their pets.
