Ambassador Veterinary Hospital is now re-open and resuming regular business hours (effective June 16, 2020). In accord with the re-opening guidelines set by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and State of New Jersey Department of Health, we will be following strict measures for the safety of all customers and hospital staff described below.
After months of isolation, we encourage all pets to come in for a physical exam.

Pet & Client Guidelines
1.) One healthy pet owner per pet only allowed admission. Multiple persons will not be admitted to ensure social distancing.
2.) All pet owners must wear a mask when entering the hospital.
3.) All pet owners will have their forehead temperature taken with our infrared (IR) touchless thermometer. If your temperature exceeds 100.4F degrees, you will not be allowed entrance.
4.) All dogs must be leashed or crated. All cats must be crated. All birds must be caged.
5.) To maintain social distancing, we will strictly operate by appointment only. Walk-in visits will be suspended until further notice. Please call 201-863-4072 to schedule an appointment.
6.) Payment will be cashless. All major credit cards (Discover, Visa, American Express, MasterCard) are accepted. No cash will be accepted.
7.) COVID-19 testing is available for dogs and cats but will only be considered necessary following a full physical exam of your pet.
Hospital Safety Measures
1.) All staff will have their temperatures checked at the beginning and end of their shift.
2.) All examination tables, doors, and waiting areas will be cleaned and disinfected after each client visit.
3.) Air purifiers and touchless hand-sanitizer stations are present in the waiting area and examination rooms. A wash station with hand soap is also available if requested.
4.) A full deep cleaning of the entire hospital will take place routinely. All surfaces, floors, doors, windows will be cleaned and sanitized
5.) To maximize social distancing, all handling of pets will happen by our hospital technicians. Pet owners will be able to communicate from the lobby or the hallway to maintain safety.
6.) Markings on the floor will indicate standing positions for all customers.
7.) For added safety, restrooms will be limited to use by hospital staff only.
